Fall Book Study:
PRAYERFULNESS
by Author Dr. Robert Wicks
In a very busy society we often find ourselves suddenly realizing that the days and months are speeding by and we are longing to slow time down so we don’t lose ourselves in the rush. Dr. Wicks defines Prayerfulness: “Being in the present with your eyes wide open to experiencing God and life in dynamic new ways.” If you have ever had this thought, join us for a series of five Wednesdays to reflect, laugh and  enjoy this book.  Leaders of the study: Kathleen Owens, Monica Rappazzo, Anita Jones and Sr. Pat Larkin.

Offering: $5.00 per session,
$15 if staying for lunch; Pre-regitration is required

Prayer Shawl - and Sundry - Ministry
This God activity will enter its third year and, if you knit or crochet, you are welcome to join our group.  We have made afghans for veterans at Veterans Hospital, veterans at Chapel House in Auburn and have been making items to give to new mothers and babies at Joseph House in Syracuse when it opens.  As we are involved in this ministry, we are reminded of the inspired words from Psalm 139:13:  “You knit me in my mother’s womb.”  How about that for a way to describe God’s creation!  And your creativity?
For additional information or questions please contact Sister Concetta at the retreat center.

Offering: $0.00 3rd Annual Oktoberfest

Have you ever felt like a prodigal in your relationship with God?  Have you been bold enough to really converse with God about how you are feeling and what you need?  Have you trusted God enough to open your heart totally for Him to enter?  Come and see how the prodigal in Rembrandt’s painting shows us how we can lean into God and be forgiven.
