June 1 to 3 - Women’s Weekend
“I am the vine; you are the branches.” (John 15:5)
As the vineyards of New York become lush and appear as a sea of green, we will come apart and reflect and pray with Jesus’ words in scripture as he tells us that he is the vine and names our relationship to him as the branches. We will look at our relationship with the Father, the vine grower. It may be necessary to consider how we have been pruned or if we need pruning. Jesus promises that we will bear much fruit if we remain in him. We will use kything prayer, an act of spiritual presence to another, to enhance our spiritual relationship with Jesus the vine and with others, the branches.
Presented by Sister Concetta Fabo, OSF.
Offering $150.
June 8 to 10 - A Weekend for Couples
“Man represents my image; woman, my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God.” Love and respect one another!
“To be understood as to understand,” a line from a popular prayer becomes the basis for this weekend experience. Why is it that men and women feel that they don't understand one another? Why is it that a woman may feel that “he doesn't tell me anything?” Or that a man feels that she nags and never gets to the point? Well, this is an invitation to spend time gaining some answers and insights to common concerns that partners experience when talking together. Through the significant research of Tannen, Elgin, Seashore and other sociolinguistic scientists, important contributions have been made in assisting men and women to talk to each other with greater quality and deeper meaning. It will be time well spent talking with each other and appreciating the unique qualities of one another. Perhaps you may gain a completely different impression of some of the familiar conversations you have had and in which you have felt misunderstood. Learning to accept the differences in each other, without blaming each other or ourselves in our conversations, can help us to achieve more cooperation and deeper bonds with those we love. Like all good experiences, one always recognizes oneself in these events and affirms the desire “to understand as to be understood.” Ideally we invite you to attend this program as partners.
Facilitated by Sister Ann Carville, OSF.

June 24 to 30 - Praying Peace; Harnessing the Energy of Creation” Presented by Sister Barbara Fiand, SSND
During our time together we will ask ourselves who the God of our prayer truly is and what the human role is in "presencing" the divine? We will explore the meaning of energy as it relates to prayer and healing and explore more deeply what it means to be held in the power of the resurrection and to experience the incarnation.
In the process we will look at the meaning of sin, redemption, and the unconditional forgiveness that we are called to as Christians. We will appropriate the call to work for personal and cosmic peace and healing and reflect on the findings of contemporary science, the new world-view it
offers, and how, amazingly, it helps us to understand the power of prayer and to see our connectedness to Jesus Christ.
Offering: $475.00
